Every Type of Specialty Glass
Whether you need safety-rated glass, privacy glass, or something purely decorative — we fabricate and install it all.
💪
Tempered Safety Glass
Heat-treated to be 4–5× stronger than standard glass. When broken, shatters into small, blunt-edged pieces instead of dangerous shards. Required by code in shower doors, patio doors, sidelites, and any glass near floor level or entry areas.
Used in: Shower doors, patio doors, storefronts, railings, skylights
🔒
Laminated Safety Glass
Two or more glass layers bonded with a PVB or SGP interlayer. When broken, the glass holds together — the interlayer prevents shard scatter. Provides security, safety, and acoustic benefits simultaneously. Used in hurricane-rated and security applications.
Used in: Skylights, security glazing, overhead glass, hurricane zones
🌡️
Low-E Coated Glass
A microscopically thin metallic oxide coating reflects infrared heat while allowing visible light to pass through. Dramatically improves window energy performance. Available in passive (maximizes solar heat gain in cold climates) and solar control (blocks unwanted heat in warm climates) versions.
Used in: Windows, patio doors, skylights, commercial glazing
🌫️
Frosted & Obscure Glass
Acid-etched or sand-blasted glass that diffuses light while blocking the view. Available in varying opacity levels — from a light texture to near-opaque privacy glass. Maintains a sense of light and openness while providing complete privacy.
Used in: Bathroom windows, shower doors, office partitions, sidelites
🔇
Acoustic / Soundproof Glass
Laminated glass with specialized acoustic PVB interlayer, or asymmetric double-pane units with different glass thicknesses, dramatically reduce sound transmission. STC ratings up to 50+ available — a game-changer for noise-sensitive spaces.
Used in: Home theaters, bedrooms near traffic, offices, hotels
✨
Decorative & Patterned Glass
Rain glass, reeded glass, seeded glass, flora, bamboo, and dozens of other patterns — add texture, light diffusion, and visual interest to any application. Perfect for interior design accent pieces, cabinet doors, and privacy applications where pattern is preferable to plain frosted.
Used in: Cabinet doors, interior partitions, shower doors, accent panels
🎨
Tinted & Colored Glass
Bronze, gray, green, and blue body-tinted glass reduces solar heat gain and glare. Low-iron "ultra-clear" glass has virtually no color cast — the clearest glass available, ideal for high-end frameless applications where standard glass's green tint is undesirable.
Used in: Storefronts, shower doors, display cases, feature windows
📐
Custom-Cut Glass
Standard or specialty glass cut to any shape or dimension — rectangles, circles, arches, polygons, or fully custom shapes. Table tops, mirror replacement, cabinet glass, shelving, and replacement panes for any frame type or size.
Used in: Table tops, mirrors, cabinet doors, custom frames, shelving

Safety First
All Shower Glass is Tempered Safety Glass
Building codes require tempered glass in shower enclosures — and for good reason. Here's what that means for you.
💪
4-5× Stronger
Tempered glass is heat-treated to be dramatically stronger than standard glass — resistant to impact and thermal stress.
🫧
Safe Breakage
If it does break, tempered glass shatters into small, blunt-edged pebbles — not sharp shards — dramatically reducing injury risk.
📋
Code-Compliant
All our shower installations meet or exceed Colorado building code. Every panel is permanently etched with the CPSC certification mark.

FAQs
Specialty Glass Questions
Can you cut glass to a shape I bring in?
Yes — bring us a template, a drawing with dimensions, or even the broken piece you need replaced, and we can cut a new piece to match. For complex shapes, a template cut from cardboard or paper is the most reliable method.
What's the difference between tempered and laminated glass?
Tempered glass is heat-treated to be much stronger, and when it breaks it shatters into small pebbles. Laminated glass is two layers bonded with an interlayer — when it breaks, the glass holds together (like a car windshield). Both are safety glass. Tempered is more common for shower doors and windows; laminated is used where glass must stay in place after breakage (overhead glass, security applications, hurricane zones).
Can tempered glass be cut after tempering?
No — tempered glass cannot be cut, drilled, or modified after the tempering process. It must be cut to final size and all holes/notches made before tempering. This is why accurate measurements are critical when ordering tempered glass.
How does frosted glass compare to window film for privacy?
Actual frosted (acid-etched) glass provides more durable, permanent privacy than window film. Film can peel, bubble, and wear over time. Frosted glass is part of the material itself and will last the life of the window. For permanent installations, frosted glass is almost always the better choice.
